see the beauty

This week’s photo challenge is Near and Far.

“Near and Far. We’re excited about this week’s photo challenge, near and far, and hope it inspires you to play with perspective, which can give sweeping images of beautiful locations more oomph and power. Perspective is what makes a flat two-dimensional image, such as a photograph, appear like it is three-dimensional.”

I feel that the low aperture creates the near and far perspective.

(Whoa! That’s a larger image than I thought it was going to be!)

I think that with the near and far challenge it can be easy to just do a landscape image.  Most of the time there is something in the foreground and background to create something interesting, but I wanted to do something different.  I think using the 1.8f capabilities of my super awesome lens has created a near and far perspective that didn’t exist before (or may have been harder to see).  The blown out background creates a nice focal point on the front flower.

And that’s all I have to say about that.
